The evolution of shopping has been occurring since the agricultural times of America. The General Store in rural America was replaced with clusters of specialty stores. These stores were replaced with malls and strip centers. Then along came the big box stores.

In the past decade, online shopping has been making steady progress and gaining market share. We feel like the next method by which people will shop, and one that our members have discovered, is a hybrid of online and local, in-store shopping.

Our members are empowered and have joined together through FDN to use its combined buying power to leverage better deals for its members. I want everyone to see this if you haven’t already.  I am probably the most patriotic American that I know.  I love the pro-American sentiment of the ad.  Not sure I agree with all of it since it was a bailout, etc… but the point is that America is in Half-Time!!!! It is vital that we get the old-fashioned way of thinking going again.  We are the best country in the world.  Let’s stop apologizing for it!!!!!

Today is Ronald Reagan’s 101st Birthday.  I sure wished we had someone like him here.  We are at a turning point.  Such a young country to be the world leader of commerce and military but so be it.  It is our responsibility to honor what our grandfathers did in Europe and Asia back in WW II.  Stand up and be American!!!!!  Let’s get this country going again.  It is half-time.  Time to reflect on the past 200+ years and plan our second half and beyond…..

Let’s hit it hard in 2012!!!!!

New Platform

OK, FDN has already had many website changes… I get it…

Please don’t get aggravated with me.

It is my obligation to our members to make sure our platform is perfect before we roll out in Texas and California, and beyond…

So, with that…our current site is a whole lot better than the last one, but….

In a few weeks the guys at www.1-gb.net are working on the next version of our website.  These guys are awesome!!!!

They not only understand our business, but they have built many sites that have become worldwide successes.

If you have any website or e-commerce needs, you should go with these guys. 

I had wasted over a hundred thousand dollars on sites that I hated… until I met these guys…

Real results without the hyperbole!!!!  I have spent months around tables with “BIG” companies that produce less results than these guys.  They have a business sense that many web developers lack.  This is the real issue!!!! Getting people to understand your business and converting that into a web presence and system/program that is easy to use and WORKS!!!!

Our members will really love the new site.  It is built on a “groupon” type platform, but has the other features that I wanted for our site.  Close to my heart is the Give portion of our company.  The good news is that the new platform allows for easier donations through a better “credit” system.

I really hope you all enjoy the new site coming in a few weeks!!!!!
